JANOS BALINT - (Hungary)


Amazing Hungarian musician. Critics use to call him "flute magician" whose "virtuosity reminds to great Paganini". He played hundreds of concerts in Europe, USA, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, collaborating with such a great musicians like Zoltan Kocsis, Ruggero Ricci, Gervase de Peyer, Pierre Pierlot, Ransom Wilson, Aurele Nicolet... and with some of the finest European chamber and symphonic orchestras. At the moment he is working as a flute professor at Musikhochschule Detmold in Germany, as well as at Academia Musicale of Imola in Italy and he is a solo flutist at the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Hungary. He regularly does master-classes all over the world, during the year. Janos Balint is also famous as being one of the most productive studio musicians. By now, he has published 24 CD-s with Hungaroton, Capriccio and Naxos companies. His latest CD with Zoltan Kocsis, published last year, including pieces of Dvorak, Schubert and C. Franck, has acclaimed as one the best recordings for years, in Europe. He is the Artistic Director of Auer Summer Academy and Festival of Veszprem, Hungary. His repertoire includes more than thousands pieces, practically almost whole existing flute literature.
